A Gmail web redesign is on its way

Google just sent an email to G Suite customers (including me) notifying them that a new Gmail experience is on the way. In addition to a fresh redesign, there are also some new features to be excited about, including easy/better access to Google Calendar from within Gmail, smart replies, and the ability to snooze emails.
Smart replies have been around for a while on both the Android and iOS versions of Gmail, but they’ve since been missing from the web. They’re also working on a new way to store emails that will allow you to compose and use the Gmail web interface even without an active internet connection. According to the email that has been sent to G Suite customers, they will be releasing additional information about an Early Adopter Program (EAP) in the coming weeks to try out the new Gmail.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be announcing an Early Adopter Program (EAP) for a new experience in Gmail. This EAP will introduce a new design for the Gmail web interface, as well as several new features. These changes will also be made available to users with personal Gmail accounts, so we want to make sure you’re adequately prepared for questions from your G Suite users in advance of the public announcement.
